Example: www.heritagedesigns.com. Once you sign up for a particular URL (which you can choose) no one else can have that same address. What should my site URL be? Your URL should be something that people will remember. Sometimes you'll encounter URL's that look like this: www.thbpoj.org. I'm assuming (unless you bookmark it) that it would be pretty difficult to recall that URL. A good URL either says something about what you do (i.e. www.injurylawyer.com), the name of the company (i.e. www.amazon.com), or a combination of your name and company (i.e. www.smithtaxservices.com). You users will have an easier time remembering these site addresses and therefore you will have a better chance of them using your services. Should I have multiple URL's? Does it cost extra? This is your decision. If you feel someone might type a particular URL to see if there is a site with the information they are searching for, then you might consider another URL. Example: If you have a Glass Door company named Roberts Doors, you might want to choose www.robetstdoors.com and possibly www.glassdoors.com, because there is a good possibility someone will try to directly access a site by that name. Having multiple URL's will cost more, but if you believe this will increase your business the cost is minimal. Hosting Do you have hosting services? How much does it cost monthly to maintain hosting? If you're not on the Internet you should be. People are turning more and more to the Internet for services. Websites are becoming an integral part of business marketing because of relative low cost. Basically, it means making sure your site comes to the top when people are looking for your product! What are meta tags? Meta tags are an HTML tag that is placed in the HTML header of a web page. This provides information to the browsers that visitors to the site cannot see. It helps not only to determine the content of a page, but also to determine how a listing should appear in the search results. They should be between the <head> </head> tags. The DESCRIPTION tag lets
you control what will appear as a result you're your page appears on a
search result and is also used by the search engines to determine
